How to Obtain Lease Documents
Current Lease Assignment - This is the lease assignment that transfers your property from the former owner to you.
(information for obtaining your original lease assignment is detailed below)
Your Current Lease Assignment can be obtained as follows:
Check your closing documents - You would have signed this lease assignment at your closing.
Santa Rosa County Clerk of Court at the office locations listed below. The Clerk of Court has a per page charge for copies of these documents.

Santa Rosa Clerk of Court’s web site www.santarosaclerk.com. The records on the Clerk's website only go back to 1984. If you bought your property prior to 1984, those records will not be available online here.

- On the home page, about half-down the text, click on the link to "County Official Records Index and Imaging Online".
- On the next page, click on the link at the top of the text "Continue to Official Records"
- On the next screen, elect "agree" to the disclaimer
- You will be taken to the search page and enter your search criteria

- Your Title or Closing Company - Your Insurer or Title Company may retain a copy of your current lease assignment in their files if you had a recent purchase. Many offices move older closing documents to archives or off-site storage and they may not be readily available. Your title company may offer, for a fee, the service to search the county records for you to obtain this current lease assignment.
Initial, First or Original Lease Assignment - This is the lease assignment that transfers your property from the Santa Rosa County Beach Administration to the first lessee of your property. For condo owners, this lease (sometimes called the "ground lease"), may be found in your Condominium Declaration documents.
